If you take a look at these breath taking pictures, you may think that they were captured by a well-known high profile photographer, who has been working in the field of photography for years. But it is not so. Elena Shumilova, a Russian photographer and mother of two, got her very first professional camera in 2012, and has since then been capturing heart-warming photographs of her two sons and their farm animals.

Each photograph captures the amazing bond between the boys and the animals. Elena has been able to capture candid moments of her sons with different animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and ducks.

Elena’s journey with photography started right after she graduated from school. As told to Bored Panda, she said that her photos are part intuition and part inspiration “I largely trust my intuition and inspiration when I compose photos. I get inspired mainly by my desire to express something I feel, though I usually cannot tell what exactly that is”.

Shumilova shoots photographs during the day, so that she could spend time with her children, the editing is done at night. She says that she prefers natural light, but loves all sorts of light conditions – street lights, candle light, fog, smoke, rain and snow, mostly whatever  that gives visual and emotional depth to the image. Elena’s photography has captured the hearts of many and still continues to do so. Her passion for photography will continue she says and we all are waiting for her next work of art!
